Structure The Board of Directors consists of nine persons of which: four are nominated by the MPO subject to the following -

• two persons must be milk producers or employed by milk producers; and
• one must be a person who does not have a business interest in either a milk producer or milk processor; and
• one must be a person from another key stakeholder of the dairy industry.

four are nominated by SAMPRO subject to the following -

• two persons must be milk processors or employed by milk processors; and
• one must be a person who does not have a business interest in either a milk producer or milk processor; and
• one must be a person from another key stakeholder of the dairy industry.

The Board of Directors have the right to co-opt a maximum of two expert persons on the Board of Directors, should the need arises.
